Earth Hour – 25th March, Picnic at Erimitis

Earth Hour – 25th March Picnic at Erimitis
For those who want to celebrate a different 25th of March, the Association “Erimiti Plous …” suggests a picnic at Erimitis.
Started by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) 16 years ago, Earth Hour is observed on the last Saturday of March every year and is an opportunity for millions of people around the world to join our voices and mobilize to protect nature and against climate change.
Participation consists first of all in the simultaneous switching off of non-essential electric lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm and the lighting of iconic monuments and buildings worldwide.
WWF’s message for this year is not only to turn the lights off, but to take a break from our routine and spend 60 minutes doing something – anything – positive for the planet: 60 +
So let’s dedicate an hour to the Earth, 60 minutes to our planet.
So this year, let’s spend our Earth Hour enjoying the beaches, wetlands, and the forest to save the Erimitis from the imminent disastrous development of the “Kassiopi Project”. And sending to all, once again, a strong message that Erimitis is and will remain Free for all of us (us and its many and diverse inhabitants now and forever!
