The landscape of Erimitis is to a great extend pristine. It owes its unique beauty to the natural terrain of hills, small bays and serene beaches, to the dense vegetation, and to the turquoise color of the sea. Its coastal “mediterranean macchia” vegetation is dominant on the land, while its three lakes and the shoreline still maintain the wild beauty that always charmed the visitors of Corfu.
It is one of the very few remaining areas on Corfu island that is entirely preserved and in general not spoiled by human activities. Consequently, it offers both the Corfiots and the visitors a unique opportunity for recreation, evoking the authentic beauty of Corfu island.
