Who we are

A residents’ movement arose against the imminent threats, setting the protection of Erimitis as their goal. The residents of San Stefano, Cassiope, Avlaki, Sinies, as well as many other Corfiots, have actively participated and supported the movement together with local organizations and local authorities such as the Region of Ionian Islands and the Municipality of Corfu. Thanks to everyone’s support, the case is still open and Erimitis has been saved, until now.

In 2015, the residents of the area established the association “Erimiti Plous”, in order for the movement to have legal representation. Its aim is to protect the terrestrial and aquatic components of the ecosystem of Erimitis.
